Wine Class: ‘Humboldt Beginnings – The Wines of Chile’
From deserts, to mountains, to oceans and to glaciers, Chile has it all – especially wine! And while its wine industry is relatively young, the potential for greatness is already being realized. With a view of the Pacific Ocean and in the shadow of the Andes, Chilean wine has arrived.
On October 21st, we will teach the diversity of Chile. The styles of wines vary by latitude, elevation and proximity to the mountains, and we will summarize the country through six wines, paired with a small sampling meats and cheeses. The class with be taught at an introductory level by our Beverage Director, Scott Ota, and he is excited to introduce you to the wines of Chile!
Tickets are $45 and they can be purchased through Eventbrite. We hope to see you here!
Our Chilean class is part of High Street’s Wine 101 Series, “Learning to Love Wine.”
We think wine should be fun for everyone – no experience required! Come learn the basics of tasting and demystify that boozy grape juice. Whether you want to be able to pick out a bottle you like when you shop or pair with a meal with confidence, we are here for you with wine classes designed to start from square one.
